I see no problems displaying jpgs,gifs and other standard image types so I not really seeing your issue or perhaps I don't understand it.
It seems to work here and on my test site in 1.2g. |

Looking at the link he tried, I suspect it isn't a direct link to an image but a dynamic link (image in a photoshare album)...

Ok I see now as far as the jpe goes thats because phpbb2s bbcode only reconizes jpg, jpeg, gif and png. Its simple to add jpe to that. I post how on the PNphpBB2 support site and get that added to 1.2g.
As far as the second one goes "http://www.starfrosch.ch/starfrosch/index.php?module=photoshare&func=viewimage&iid=834&viewkey=" the bbcode is looking for an image at the end of that and as none is there, its not going to work and if it ever worked then that was probably a phpbb2 bug. |

Yeah guess he need to use html for those type images. The bbcode in phpbb2 looks for a proper image type and only displays it if it finds one. It easy to add jpe to the list but a dynamic image will never work at least with the current phpbb2 bbcode code. |
