CESARIA EVORA In Concert !

Hey... went to see Cesaria Evora in Concert in Paris tonight...

Really good... although the saxophonist was the only musician who seemed to think his show was good (he was the only one having a groove and smiling like he was loving his job), the others staying as static as the old Lady. But the voice was still there.

See the Read  More for a little anecdote that will not please everyone (the ones I don't care about their opinion on this subject mwouhaha)..

Half of the show was coming and we were wondering ig there would be a break...

When she spoke some words that we did not understand... whell, not until the musicians began an instrumental.

Cesaria had a little table and a chair on the scene where she sit down with a glass of water and.... her cigarettes ! She took her own break while musicians we're entertaining us with a nice song. Here in France... WE APPLAUSE ! I cannot imagine the shock on the face of my fellow Canadian and americans anti-smoking fascists... I'm sure they would have not applaud like we did.

The scene was not only funny... but was also a demonstration from an old woman who sing like she does at her age... "You won't impress me ! I'm taking my break the way I want it and that is all !"

I'm not even sure she looked at her public while in her break... It was as if she was in a Café near Faubourg St-Honoré... just watching life passing by.

When she was finished, the song ended and she came back to the front and went on with the show.

I salute the Lady who was one of the VERY rare to still have the guts of her own ways and not fall under the sick politically correct frenzy all our little stars (even the greatests) fell into.

(Having a pyramid haircut is also for me a proof of a disgusting taste ha ha !)

"As long as it burns... I go on !" - Someone I don't remember of... probably me to think of it... Ha ha ha !

Chestnut !
