MACscr Plumber Posts: 147 Posted: Sep 11, 2005	man i hate this crappy forum. I know it has some great parts of it, but its search function is so horrible. I mean HORRIBLE. It almost defeats the purpose of even having one. Great, another great support site that now has almost a worthless forum. (ok not worthless, man, i really really hate it) Can you tell? P.S. the double notifications really suck too.

P.S. the double notifications really suck too. He he... sorry to disapoint you. And I can understand why. I had no much choice to move to it though. The PNphpBB2 (with all respect to the pnphpbb team) is not near to be in any valid standard shape and was breaking too much things. And if it was not for the search, from my point of view, the only other thing that was useful for me was the attachmod as I was sometimes giving files to users. But even then, I was not using it often. In fact, I was not even using 1/10 of the PNphpBB power and features. I agree that an intern search feature would be better than using the global search. But aside that, we can give to the pnForum that it's pnAPI-pnRender, much faster and as you can see, I made these templates to be valid and was aiming to have a little PNphpBB look and feel. I know, I know... Not a big success. Good news maybe for PNphpBB users like you, it was discussed recently by some of the pnphpbb team to do either a major rewrite or some kind of a fork. While probably still following phpBB in terms of features and such things. Future will tell. Chestnut ! Site Admin
MACscr Plumber Posts: 147 Posted: Sep 12, 2005	Eh, its ok. I was just venting. pnphpbb definately had a lot of security problems, but they are pretty good at patching them. People just dont apply the patches quick enough. I just do a lot of searching for things before i post and pnForum makes it diffucult to decifer the results. I hope postnuke.com doesnt switch before pnForum advances more or else i will be screwed.
