Hi! I had the idea that inactive users (means users who have not logged in for a variable period of time) are automatically deleted or maybe get the status "inactive". This means that "inactive" users would have to request a new password for example and login again, to be set as "active". By the way this could be combined with a status for every user which is shown in the profile: "online", "offline", "inactive". Inactive users could be deleted after another period of time has ended. The CMS "Xoops" already got a routine that deletes users who have not logged in for a fixed period of time. This helps keeping the PostNuke site clean from "nick spammers" who only register and never come back and maybe this could prevent that people register twice. (With this problem I tried to handle, because if a user is registered twice or even more he/she could manipulate polls for example) I hope my idea got clear and I did not describe it too confused ;) Keep it up with PostNuke! Great system! |

I don't know if a last login date has or will be in the DB but if so, then this inactive stuff will probably comes in the future discussions. ;) Chestnut ! ![]() Site Admin |
