When researching how to allow the administrator to edit Dynamic User Data, the solution that constantly popped up in my search efforts was "pncUserhack". In my search I've also noted that this solution is not recommended by its creator (Chestnut My question is this then: How can I allow the admin to edit dynamic user data? When a user clicks "My information" in their PN profile, the "edituser" function allows them to edit their own dynadata. When an admin clicks to "Edit User" the "modifyUser&chng_uname" function does not allow the admin to edit dynadata. Is there a simple solution to adding dynadata to the "modifyUser&chng_uname" function to allow for dynadata to be edited by the admin? edited by: mookiestix, Dec 22, 2006 - 12:31 PM |

The word simple would be relative in this case :) There is a few places where a change must be done... Unfortunatly, this would ask more hacking than it seems as you must either redo the entire pnUserSetVar insire the updateUser function or change the pnUserSetVar to suit your need. Note also that the upcoming 0.8 will give you that possibility. It's not very complicated but might lead to some little glitch if not done correctly. I'll link you to this: http://www.pnconcept.com/projects/others/mookiestix.txt See if you can sort this out. Chestnut ! ![]() Site Admin |
